Kayla Pugh

Little Miss Kayla Pugh, age six, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away April 19, 2026. Born June 2, 2019, Kayla was a beloved child whose presence brought light to those around her. Known tenderly by family as “K‑Mae,” she was surrounded by loved ones who treasured her laughter and small everyday delights.

Family and friends honored Kayla with a visitation at Precious Memories Mortuary on Friday, May 8, 2026, followed by a celebration of life at Summer Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Kayla was laid to rest at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport.

Those who knew Kayla remember a young girl whose simple joys—playing, bright dresses, and time with family—made an impression far beyond her years. While words cannot fully capture the love her family holds for her, the gatherings held in her memory reflected that deep affection and the many small ways she mattered to those around her.

Kayla’s life, though far too short, was honored by family, friends, and a grieving community who came together to celebrate her light. She will be remembered for the sweetness she brought into each day and the deep love of the family who carried her memory forward.
