Katherine Kathy Geren

Katherine “Kathy” Cheryl Geren (July 31, 1956 – April 13, 2026) was a cherished member of the Purcell community and a loving presence in her family’s life. She is remembered first and foremost for her devotion to family — a mother, grandmother and great‑grandmother who treasured time spent with those closest to her.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Roy B. Lansford and Juanita Lansford (Mullican), as well as by her son, Brenton Geren, and her husband Tim Geren. She is survived by her daughter, Stacy Yandell; sons‑in‑law Aaron (Kari Geren) and Cassidy Gentry; siblings Tammy Barrios, Sandy Sargent and Kevin Lansford; grandchildren Ty, Elly, Ryan, Madilyn, Ryker and Kylie; and great‑grandchildren Casey and Paisley. Her family’s love for her is reflected in the circle of relatives who remain to carry forward her memory.

Family and friends honored Kathy with a funeral service on April 22, 2026, at Little’s Chapel in Purcell. The arrangements were entrusted to Wilson‑Little Funeral Home. Those who knew her recall a life rooted in family ties and the comforts of small‑town community; through the presence of her children, grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, her influence and love endure.

Kathy’s family welcomed messages of sympathy and remembrance following her passing. In remembering her, loved ones celebrate the ordinary, sustaining things that made up her days: family connections, shared moments, and the ongoing presence of those she raised and loved.
