Kalista Hallberg

Kalista Rae Hallberg of Letts, Iowa, born May 28, 1988, is remembered for the deep love she carried for her family and the gentle presence she brought to those who knew her. A devoted mother, Kalista’s life was centered on her two children, who were sources of joy and meaning to her each day. She was a daughter and sister who treasured family connections and leaned on the support and companionship of relatives and close friends.

Kalista’s family remembers her as a person whose everyday care and affection left a lasting mark—small acts of kindness, steady devotion to her children, and the bonds she maintained with those closest to her. She is survived by her children, Johnathan Hallberg and Lillian Hernandez; her father, Gary Cooper, and stepmother, Harmony Cooper; many siblings and extended family members; and a grandson, Caleb Moore. Those who loved her recall warm moments of family life and the simple, meaningful ways she invested in the people around her.

Funeral services and visitations were arranged by Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary. Family and friends gathered to honor Kalista’s life, to share memories, and to support one another in grief. Memorial contributions were suggested to assist the family.

Though Kalista’s life was cut far too short, those who loved her remember a caring mother and family member whose presence mattered deeply. Her memory lives on in her children and in the family and friends who carry her stories forward.
