Remembering Jordan
A life held close in memory
Jordan Javon Savage, known affectionately as “Man,” was a caring son, brother and friend who brought warmth to everyday moments. Born October 15, 1995, in Waterbury, Connecticut, Jordan grew up in the city’s schools and pursued practical training after high school, completing programs at Job Corps and New England Tractor Trailer School to earn his commercial driver’s license. He worked as a driver with Star Distributors and took pride in supporting himself and his family.
Jordan loved to cook and delighted in experimenting with flavors, often sharing his unique dishes with family and friends. He enjoyed freestyle rap for fun and could frequently be heard rapping along to instrumental beats. From a young age he also found joy in swimming and spent many afternoons at the community pool refining his skills and enjoying time outdoors.
Family was central to Jordan’s life. He is remembered by his mother, Lisa Marie Julian; siblings Frankie, Jalessa, Janae and Jade; his grandmother Cheryl Savage; aunts, uncles, cousins and a large circle of loved ones and friends, including his longtime companion Jahnaya Cooper. Those close to him recall a kind-hearted person who valued quality time and took pleasure in simple, shared moments.
Jordan’s passing on September 13, 2022, was an unexpected loss to his community. His kindness, creativity in the kitchen, love of music and gentle presence left an impression on those fortunate to know him. He will be remembered for the warmth he brought to family gatherings and for the everyday ways he cared for others.
