John Blake Burgin Sr.

John Blake Burgin Sr., 51, of Springville, Alabama, passed away on October 27, 2024. Born September 12, 1973, John was a family-centered man whose greatest pride came from his children and grandchildren. He was the loving father of John Blake Burgin Jr. and Jacob Daniel Burgin, and cherished father to his daughter, Ariel Jones. Grandchildren brought him joy and a special place in family life; he is remembered by Brody Burgin, Ayden Burgin, Taylynn Burgin, and Zaelyn Vaughn.

Family meant everything to John. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Earl Burgin Sr. and Sarah Frances McKinney Burgin, and is survived by siblings Bradie Burgin and Cyndi Cornelius, brother Robert Burgin (Liz), and a circle of nieces and nephews who gathered to honor his memory. In early November, family and friends came together at Lemley Funeral Home for a visitation and service to celebrate his life, and he was laid to rest at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Blount County.

He leaves behind a close-knit family who will carry forward memories of everyday moments — shared meals, family gatherings, and the simple, steady love he gave to those nearest him.
