Remembering Jerri

A life held close in memory

Jerri M. Glenn, 34, is remembered by family and friends for the love she poured into her home and children. Those who knew her recall a woman for whom family mattered above all — a daughter and a mother who treasured everyday moments with those closest to her.

Jerri is survived by her parents, Jerry (Toni) Glenn and Vicki (Albert) Patterson, and by her children Nishawn, Nykia, Shanice, and Larry III. Her family held a service to honor her life at Diehl-Whittaker Funeral Service in Columbus, where relatives and friends gathered to celebrate the memory of a woman who played central roles in the lives of those she loved.

Though public records give limited detail about Jerri’s daily life, the names of her children and parents reflect the close family connections that defined her. Those who attended her homegoing service remembered her presence at family gatherings and the steady place she held in the lives of her children.

Jerri’s passing on April 22, 2015, was mourned by many in the Columbus community. She was laid to rest at Glen Rest Memorial Estates following services on May 5, 2015. Her family invited those who wished to leave tributes to sign the funeral guestbook through the funeral home.

Her family’s loss is felt deeply; the details that remain in public notices emphasize a life centered on family and the ties that endure after a loved one is gone. Jerri’s memory lives on in the children she raised and the family who continue to remember her with love.
