Jaterius Easley

Jaterius Easley, 24, of Meridian, Mississippi, was treasured by family and friends for the presence he brought to ordinary days and special moments. Those who knew him recall a young man who mattered to his circle — someone who brought humor and realness to conversations and who held close the people he loved.

Born and raised in the Meridian area, Jaterius was a part of his community’s fabric. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Berry & Gardner Funeral Home, and a visitation was held on Friday, July 12, 2024, followed by a service at Jubilee Mennonite Church on Saturday, July 13, 2024. He was laid to rest at Antioch BC Cemetery in Daleville.

In sharing information about his services, family and community members honored Jaterius by gathering to celebrate his life, to speak of the small kindnesses and everyday connections that defined him, and to offer one another comfort. Those who loved him remember his laugh, his ability to be “real” with people, and the ways he shaped close relationships.

While his life ended too soon, the memories held by family and friends endure. May those who cherish him find peace and strength in each other as they remember Jaterius’s life and the place he held in their hearts.
