Jason L. Smith

Jason L. Smith of Columbus, Ohio, passed away March 21, 2015, at the age of 42. A graduate of Brookhaven High School, Jason was a man who cherished simple pleasures — long days spent fishing, the quiet patience of hunting outings, and casual evenings watching shows like American Pickers. He was a devoted husband to Tammy Jo Smith and a loving son and sibling, survived by his father Bud Smith, brother Chris Smith, sister Rainbow Thornton, and many nephews and nieces. Those who knew Jason remember a down-to-earth, steady presence who treasured family gatherings and outdoor time. Though his life was cut short, the memories he made with those closest to him — shared stories, family meals, and time spent in the outdoors — live on in the hearts of his loved ones. He will be remembered for the warmth he offered to family and friends and for the simple joys that defined much of his life.
