Obituary
A formal remembrance
Jarred M. Ruhl, 24, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, is remembered by family and friends for his bright spirit and devotion to those closest to him. He was a beloved son to Dustin and Laura Myers and a cherished brother to Mason Work and Sklyer Myers, as well as brothers Brandon, Bryce and Brett Ruhl. Jarred’s family — including grandparents Dorothy Hough and James and Geraldine Myers — and the many friends who knew him speak of a young man whose presence brought energy and kindness to ordinary days.
Those who knew Jarred recall shared times and simple joys: gatherings with family, friendships that began in childhood, and the camaraderie of peers he kept close. His life included service and connections beyond his hometown; public records note his military affiliation, a part of his life that shaped how friends and fellow servicemembers remembered him.
The family invited memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, reflecting causes important to Jarred and his loved ones. Funeral care was provided by D. O. McComb and Sons – Maplewood Park in Fort Wayne.
Though taken far too soon, Jarred’s memory lives on in the stories his family and friends tell — of laughter, shared plans, and the everyday moments that made him who he was. He is remembered with love, and his family’s reflections and the many messages of condolence left in his memory stand as testimony to the place he held in the hearts of those who knew him.
