Jarlen Corbin

Jarlen Raymont Corbin was born March 18, 1993, in Clarksville, Tennessee, and raised by his parents, Timothy Ogburn and DeQuita Corbin. A child of the community, Jarlen attended Clarksville-Montgomery County schools and later earned his GED. He was a man of faith who accepted Christ at an early age and carried that faith through his life.

Jarlen was an entrepreneur who pursued his own ventures and worked to provide for those he loved. In quieter moments he enjoyed sports — whether cheering on a football game or joining in a pick-up match — and he carried with him a playful competitive streak. Family was central to Jarlen’s life: he is remembered by his parents, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends who shared in his laughter and presence.

Those who loved Jarlen recall his vibrancy and the everyday ways he showed care: time spent with relatives, the conversations that lingered after a visit, and the steady pride he took in supporting people close to him. He leaves behind his mother, DeQuita Corbin; his father, Timothy Ogburn; siblings LaToya Ogburn, Timothy Ogburn Jr., KeDeshia Ogburn, Juwan Corbin, D’Vone Corbin, Kesha Corbin; nephews Montavious Talley and Jeramy Leyo Jr.; nieces Ka’Vey Corbin and Malaysia Leyo; and a wide circle of family and friends.

Jarlen departed this life on January 28, 2023, at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville. His family arranged visitation and funeral services in February 2023 at Hooker Funeral Home, where friends and loved ones gathered to honor his memory.

Though his time was cut short, Jarlen’s warmth, faith, and the simple joys he shared with family and friends remain — a reminder of a life that mattered deeply to those who knew him.
