Jamirious Ramsey

Jamirious “Big Jay” Ramsey brought warmth and care into every room he entered. Born June 6, 2008, Jamirious grew up in southwest Georgia and carried a steady work ethic and generous spirit through his short life. He took pride in his first job at McDonald’s and found joy in helping his father with their lawn care work — simple, practical ways he showed love for family and community.

At Randolph-Clay High School Jamirious’s quick mind and eagerness to learn were noticed by teachers and classmates. Outside school he loved listening to music, playing video games, cooking for those he cared about, and keeping close to his cousins. He was often described by family as a gentle giant: big in stature, but tender in his ways, protective of his six younger sisters and a steady presence for relatives and friends.

Jamirious is remembered by a wide circle of family who were central to his life. He is survived by his father and his many close relatives who have shared stories of his laugh, his thoughtful generosity, and the small acts that revealed his kind heart. Those who knew him recall his distinctive smile and the way he brightened ordinary days for people around him.

As his family and community grieve, they are honoring Jamirious by celebrating the kindness he offered and the everyday joys he treasured. Though his life was far too brief, the memories he created — of laughter, care, and quiet dependability — remain with those who loved him.
