Remembering Jamiere

A life held close in memory

Jamiere Dewayne Jenkins (October 11, 2006 – November 28, 2023) brought joy and determination to everyone who knew him. Born in Denver, Colorado, Jamiere grew up surrounded by family who celebrated his energy and kindness. He shared his life with his twin sister Ajanay and was deeply devoted to his mother, Shanay Lavender.

From an early age Jamiere loved sports, especially football, where he wore number 10 for Combs High School. Teammates and coaches remembered him as a spirited wide receiver whose commitment and presence were felt on and off the field. He balanced school and work, holding a job at Wendy’s while pursuing his goals and responsibilities with a seriousness beyond his years.

Jamiere’s family recalled a young man full of life, laughter, and faith. He cared deeply for those close to him and took pride in striving to make his family proud. Those who loved him described him as generous and loyal, someone whose smile could lift a room. He also explored creative interests, including starting his own clothing line, and connected with many classmates through school activities and friendship.

He is preceded in death by his father, Antell Jenkins, and other relatives. Jamiere is survived by his mother, Shanay Lavender; his twin sister, Ajanay Jenkins; siblings Marquarius Grady, Sahmiere Jenkins, Tremaine Jenkins, Daniel, and Trevyon Jenkins; grandparents Sharon Caldwell and Floyd Sr.; and an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will carry his memory forward.

Services were arranged by Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary with gatherings in Chandler, Arizona and Denver, Colorado, where family and friends honored his life. Jamiere’s family and community celebrated the joy he shared and the promise he carried for the future. Though his time was far too short, the care he showed others and the bright spirit he brought to everyday moments remain a lasting legacy.
