Jacori D. Wynn

Jacori D. Wynn, affectionately known in the local music scene as CG Montana, passed from this life on November 11, 2024, at age 28. He is remembered first and foremost as a devoted father whose three children were the center of his life. Family was central to Jacori’s world: he is survived by his mother, Machelle Cross; his sister, JaMyia Cross; cherished children JaMari, JaCori Jr., and JaLeia; grandparents, and a circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him.

Those who knew Jacori recall a young man who carried his responsibilities with fierce devotion and who cared deeply for the people closest to him. Music was a meaningful part of his identity—he shared his creativity and ambition with the community under the name CG Montana, and his work connected him to peers in south Nashville who saw in him the potential for greater things.

Family and friends gathered to honor Jacori’s life in services held in late November 2024. The family requested that memories shared be uplifting and respectful, a reflection of how Jacori lived for his children and loved ones. In lieu of flowers, the funeral home’s memorial page invited expressions of sympathy and the planting of a memorial tree as a lasting tribute.

Though his life was shorter than many hoped, Jacori’s presence remains in the lives of his children and in the memories of those who loved him. He is remembered for the care he showed his family, the ties he kept to those who mattered most, and the hope he carried as an artist. May his children and family find comfort in their shared memories and the support of the community as they grieve.
