Remembering Hector

A life held close in memory

Hector Alonso Sanchez Jr., 28, of Plainview, Texas, passed away on February 7, 2026. Born September 21, 1997, Hector was the beloved husband of Tanya Paola Sanchez (Valadez) and a devoted father figure to Tanya’s two daughters, whom he helped raise from a very young age. He was the son of Rosalba Sáenz and Héctor Alonso Sánchez and is remembered by a circle of family and friends who treasured his kindness and easy smile.

Hector’s life was rooted in family and community. Those who knew him recall a man who took pride in supporting the people he loved and who made time for the everyday moments that matter — sharing meals, offering a helping hand, and laughing with those around him. His warmth and generosity left an impression on neighbors and friends in Plainview and beyond.

A rosary will be recited on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel, with a funeral Mass to follow on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park. The arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors.

Hector’s memory lives on in his family — in the stories they tell, the quiet acts of love he showed, and the care he gave to the children he helped raise. In this time of grief, family and friends are invited to honor his life by offering their condolences, sharing memories, and holding close the simple, sustaining ways he showed love.

Those wishing to leave sympathy messages or contribute remembrances may do so through the funeral director’s memorial page. Hector’s life, though taken far too soon, is remembered for the tenderness he showed his family and the warmth he brought to his community.

Hector was gone far too soon. May the love, memories, and moments connected to this life continue to be treasured, and may those mourning find comfort in remembering what mattered most.
