Remembering Harwinder

A life held close in memory

Harwinder “Harry” Singh was a cherished child whose warmth and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on his family and community. Known affectionately as Harry, he was approaching his tenth birthday when he passed away on July 24, 2023. In life he was a son surrounded by love and by those who cared for him deeply.

Harry was remembered by relatives as a sweet, caring boy with a kind disposition. He was preparing to enter fourth grade and was part of the close-knit neighborhood where he lived. Family members recalled his playful nature and the simple joys of childhood he shared with siblings, cousins, and friends. Those who knew him speak of his nickname, Harry, and the small, everyday ways he brought light into family gatherings and school days.

A combined memorial service was held to honor his life, where loved ones gathered to celebrate the brief but meaningful time they had with him. The funeral and visitation allowed family and friends space to share memories, offer comfort, and reflect on the warmth he brought to their lives. Interment followed at Graceland Cemetery.

Though his life was short, Harwinder’s memory endures in the stories and quiet remembrances of those who loved him. His family’s grief is accompanied by enduring love and the many small memories that keep his presence alive. In honoring Harwinder, loved ones ask that his name be spoken with tenderness and that his life be remembered for the small kindnesses and joys he shared.
