Remembering Gage

A life held close in memory

Gage Eric Eup was born October 24, 1999, in Lafayette, Indiana, and brought warmth and laughter to everyone who knew him. A graduate of Terre Haute North High School in 2018, Gage was known for a generous spirit and an easy smile. He loved the outdoors — riding his BMX bike and exploring hiking trails — and approached life with curiosity and a readiness for the next adventure.

Gage cared deeply for his family and friends. He is remembered by his parents, Chad Eric Eup and Nicole Miriam Eup (Stotler); his siblings Madison Paige Eup, Jacob Eric Michael Eup, and Makalya Kathleen Eup; and a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends who treasured his kindness and sense of humor. Those who knew him recall a young man quick to help, quick to laugh, and steady in his loyalty.

Gage had clear plans for his future. He intended to enlist in the military and later attend culinary school — ambitions that matched his adventurous nature and his love of learning new skills. His tender heart and contagious laughter left a lasting impression on his community and those who shared his days.

Family and friends gathered on August 25, 2018, to celebrate Gage’s life at the Hungarian Hall in Terre Haute. In remembering him, loved ones recall not only a life cut far too short but the everyday moments that made him who he was: a devoted son and sibling, an eager friend, and a young man with dreams he had already begun to make his own.

Gage’s memory endures in the stories shared by those who loved him and in the small, bright ways he touched the lives around him — a generous heart, a ready laugh, and a spirit always poised for the next adventure.
