Obituary
A formal remembrance
Gabriella Rose “Gabe” Broglio (June 29, 1993 – June 5, 2021) brought a bright, determined spirit to everything she did. Born to Ellen and Peter Broglio, Gabriella grew up in Joplin and graduated from McAuley Catholic High School in 2011. Those who knew her remember a woman who cared deeply for her family and friends and who took pride in providing for her young daughter, Ella.
Gabe was a rising professional at PowerShades in Joplin, where she began as a receptionist and grew with the company. As one of the early employees, she embraced learning new skills and was recently promoted to territory manager. Coworkers described her as someone who treated her colleagues like family and who met challenges with steady enthusiasm — even taking on the technical task of learning to read blueprints as part of her role.
Family was everything to Gabriella. She is survived by her daughter Ella; her parents, Ellen and Peter; and her brother Max (Clary), along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends who cherished her sense of humor and gentle loyalty. Her maternal grandmother Virginia Long is remembered alongside her, who passed away shortly after Gabriella.
Services in remembrance of Gabriella were planned for June 29 at South Joplin Christian Church, a date her family chose to honor her life on what would have been her birthday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggested gifts to South Joplin Christian Church, St. Peter’s Outreach House, or contributions to a college fund established for her daughter.
Gabriella’s life was defined by love for her child, commitment to hard work, and the close bonds she kept with family and friends. She left an impression on her community through quiet devotion and a readiness to help those around her. Her memory lives on in her daughter, her family, and the people whose lives she touched.
