Gabriel Gabe Perez Jr

Gabriel “Gabe” Perez Jr., 20, of Fargo, passed away on September 23, 2018. Gabe was known to friends and family as a warm, outgoing young man with a generous spirit. He loved skating, spending time with friends, and working to support himself and those he cared about. Gabe’s hugs and ready smile were often remembered as contagious by those who knew him best.

Born April 19, 1998, Gabe was cherished by his family. He is survived by his grandmother Romanita Perez; his brother Carlos Perez; sisters Lisette Perez, Larrissa Gonzalez, Angeliqe Gonzalez, and Shai Gonzalez; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who treasured his presence. Gabe was preceded in death by his father, Gabriel Perez Sr.; his mother, Lisa Marie Gonzalez; and a cousin, Angel Perez.

Those who spent time with Gabe recall a young man who found joy in everyday moments—skating with friends, sharing laughs, and offering comfort when someone needed it. He carried himself with a down-to-earth kindness that made others feel seen.

A private family service was held in his memory. In the days after his passing, family, friends, and members of the community gathered to honor Gabe’s life and to remember the warmth he offered to others. Though his time was far too short, Gabe’s kindness and the memories he gave to loved ones continue to live on in their hearts.
