Eugene Sonny Brownlow

Eugene Sonny “SoSo” Brownlow IV was a young man whose family, friends, and community treasured his presence. Born May 18, 2006, in Georgetown, Texas, Eugene spent his life in the Central Texas area and was known by those closest to him as Sonny or “SoSo.” He was seventeen by birth year but was taken from his loved ones just days before his 17th birthday.

Eugene’s life was grounded in the everyday things that make families and neighborhoods close: family gatherings, friendships formed at school and around Killeen, and the small joys of being a teen. His affectionate nicknames and the warm memories shared by those who knew him speak to a youngster who left an impression through his smile and the way he connected with people around him.

A funeral service was held on May 20, 2023, at Chisolm’s Family Funeral Home in Killeen, where relatives and community members gathered to honor Eugene’s life and to support one another in grief. The family held a private interment at a later date.
