Remembering Elizabeth

A life held close in memory

Elizabeth Ann “Beth” Kincaid, 56, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022. Born in Fort Wayne on February 16, 1966, Beth grew up locally and completed her education at Central Noble High School, graduating in 1985. She spent part of her working life with Havel Brothers in Fort Wayne, and was known by those close to her for her steady presence and care for family.

Beth married James Edward Kincaid on September 1, 2010, and the couple made their home in Fort Wayne. She was a loving mother and stepmother: her children and stepchildren—Torie Krider, Brandon Speaker, Kyle Speaker, Cody Kincaid, and Rochelle Kincaid—were central to her life, as were her grandchildren Molly, Carson, and Noah. Beth is also survived by her mother, Carol Kirchner, and several siblings, who remember her as a cherished daughter and sister.

Friends and family gathered to celebrate Beth’s life on November 5, 2022, at Christ’s Hope Church in Fort Wayne, where loved ones shared memories and the simple, enduring ways she enriched the lives around her. In keeping with her compassion for animals, memorial contributions were suggested to the Allen County SPCA in her honor.

Those who knew Beth recall a woman rooted in family and community, who found meaning in everyday relationships and gave generously of herself. Her family entrusted arrangements to Hite Funeral Home of Kendallville. Though she is deeply missed, the comfort of her family and the outpouring of condolences reflect the lasting place she holds in the hearts of those who loved her.
