Efren Lloyd Mascarenas Sr.

Efren Lloyd Mascarenas Sr., born March 14, 1965 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, peacefully passed away at his rural Penokee home on January 4, 2018, at the age of 52. A son, brother and loving father, Efren’s family was central to his life. He was one of seven children born to Raymond and Geraldine (Madrid) Mascarenas and grew up surrounded by a large, close-knit family.

Efren was a devoted father to five children — Carl, Eddie, Efren Lloyd Jr., Alicia and Brandi — and he took great pride in their lives and accomplishments. Those who knew him recall a steady presence who cared deeply for his family and maintained strong ties to his siblings and extended family. His life in rural Graham County reflected a commitment to home and kin that meant everything to him.

Though Efren lived simply, his relationships were rich.
