A formal remembrance

Donald L. Woolridge (April 29, 1941 – October 24, 2022) was a devoted pastor, husband, and friend whose life centered on service to others. A long-time leader at Union Baptist Church in Florence, Arizona, Pastor Woolridge was known for his calm presence, his commitment to ministry, and his willingness to travel to help family and neighbors in need. Those who knew him remember a gentle spirit who cared deeply about people and faith.

Born April 29, 1941, Mr. Woolridge spent much of his life shepherding his congregation and supporting his community. He regularly preached at Union Baptist Church and remained actively involved in church life up to the final weeks of his ministry. Family members and church peers recalled his readiness to offer practical help and spiritual encouragement, and his many trips to support loved ones reflected his steadfast devotion to family.

He is survived by his wife, with whom he shared more than four decades of marriage, family members, and the members of his church community who found comfort and guidance in his presence. Funeral services were conducted under the care of Eastlake Mortuary and included a service at Union Baptist Church of Florence, where friends and worshippers gathered to honor his life and ministry.

Pastor Woolridge’s passing was felt deeply by those who knew him—neighbors, parishioners, and relatives who remember him for his compassion and quiet leadership. His legacy is one of faith lived through service, and his memory remains in the lives of the people he loved and supported.
