Deveon D. Robbins

Deveon Dareem Robbins, born October 20, 2000, is remembered as a devoted son, an all-around athlete, and a loving father whose family meant everything to him. Deveon’s gentle presence and caring spirit were clear to those who knew him best; he treasured time with his daughter, Laila Dalayla Dior Robbins, and cared deeply for his mother, Tanya Price, and father, Jerry Robbins.

Deveon grew up in Racine and was described by his family as a loving, caring child who continued to show that same affection into adulthood. He enjoyed athletics and the camaraderie of team activities, and he took great pride in his role as a father. His family remembers him for the simple, everyday ways he showed love — his laughs, his support, and his loyalty to relatives and close friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Laila; Laila’s mother, Lakiah Ariana Higgenbottom; his parents Tanya Price and Jerry Robbins; grandparents Jacqueline Price, Christ Herndon, and Jerry Robbins Sr.; six siblings — Anthony Price, TajRionna (TJ) Robbins, Deshawn Johnson, Ja’Leena Robbins, Demoni Robbins, and Ja’Mari Robbins — and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his great‑grandparents Mary Robbins, Noel Robbins, and Larry Cannon, and by relatives Bernard and Kelly Robbins.

Family and friends gathered to honor Deveon at a visitation held at Draeger‑Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory in Racine on May 25, 2021. Those who loved him recall a young man whose family was his center and whose memory lives on through his daughter and the many relatives and friends who carry his stories. Deveon’s life, though cut far too short, left a lasting imprint on those who knew his kindness and care.
