Remembering Davon D

A life held close in memory

Davon Dwayne Whitlock, 18, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 24, 2015. Davon was a cherished son whose presence brought care and connection to those around him. He is lovingly remembered by his father, David Whitlock; his sisters, Rasha Whitlock and Teanna Whitlock; Taylor Betties; and a wide circle of extended family and friends who held him dear.

Known within his family as someone who mattered deeply to those closest to him, Davon’s life was celebrated by relatives who planned a visitation on March 31, 2015, followed by a Homegoing Celebration at Barnes United Methodist Church. Those services provided a time for family, friends, and community members to share memories and honor the warmth he brought to everyday moments.

Though Davon’s time was far too brief, the affection of his family and the gathering of loved ones at his service spoke to the strong bonds he fostered. Family members and friends remember him through the small, meaningful ways he was part of their lives—by being present at family gatherings, by sharing in day‑to‑day moments, and by holding a place in the hearts of those who knew him.

Davon’s life, while short, left a lasting impression on his family and community. His memory lives on in the stories, prayers, and remembrances offered by those who loved him. May his family find comfort in one another and in the enduring love that surrounds his memory.
