A formal remembrance
David Paul Everly Sr. (April 27, 1965 – May 16, 2017) of Louisville, Kentucky, is lovingly remembered by family and friends. Born in Louisville to Joyce A. Everly and the late James G. Everly, David held family close throughout his life. He is survived by his son, David Everly Jr.; his mother, Joyce A. Everly; sisters Phyllis A. (Darrell) Brown and Shelia A. (David Sr.) West; his brother James (Becky) Everly; and a wide circle of other relatives and friends who treasured him.
Those who knew David recall a man who mattered to his community of family and friends. The family invited all who loved him to gather to celebrate his life on Saturday, May 20, 2017, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. and a service at 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions — Southwest Louisville Chapel. In keeping with the family’s wishes, expressions of sympathy were suggested to Hosparus, reflecting the importance of compassionate care to those close to him.
David’s passing left a space in the lives of many; the messages left by friends on his memorial page describe him as someone who will be fondly remembered. In remembering David Paul Everly Sr., those who loved him hold on to the everyday moments and relationships that defined his life — the ties of family, the steady presence among friends, and the quiet ways he mattered to others.
