Obituary
A formal remembrance
Danny L. Brown of Baton Rouge died on December 29, 2011, at the age of 30. A native and long-time resident of the city, Danny was a son, a father and a cherished member of an extended family who gathered to honor his memory. He is remembered most immediately by his parents, Cleveland and Loisline Hernandez, and by his daughter, Malayia, who carried with her his lasting love.
Family ties were important to Danny. He was also survived by his grandmothers, Julia Hernandez and Christine Spann, and his sisters, Shiquila and Alyssa, along with other relatives and friends who mourned his loss. Funeral services were held at Do Right Baptist Church in Gonzales, with interment in the church cemetery; arrangements were handled by Lawson-Rollins Purple Shield Funeral Home.
Those who knew Danny recall a life rooted in family and community. Though his passing came far too soon, his place within his family—especially as a father and son—remains central to how he is remembered. May his memory be a comfort to those who loved him and a quiet reminder of the everyday bonds that connect us.
