Remembering Damion

A life held close in memory

Damion Allen Tillman, 23, of Frostproof, Florida, passed away on July 17, 2020. Born June 26, 1997, in Bartow, Florida, Damion brought a steady kindness to those who knew him. He worked at Lowe’s in Sebring, where colleagues recall a helpful, hardworking young man who took pride in his work and quietly looked out for others.

Outside of work, Damion loved the outdoors — he enjoyed hunting and fishing, pastimes that connected him to friends, family, and the landscape of central Florida. Those simple pleasures reflected a generous, down-to-earth character: someone who found joy in sharing time and skills with others.

Damion is survived by his parents, Roy and Elizabeth Tillman; two sisters, Angelica and Katherine Tillman; his brother, Ethan Parker; grandmother Donna Smith; and a wider circle of aunts, uncles, and cousins who remember his steady presence at family gatherings. A graveside service was held July 25, 2020, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade, Florida.

Family and friends remember Damion for his loyalty, his willingness to lend a hand, and the calm way he cared for the people around him. Though his life was cut short, those who loved him carry forward the memory of a young man who loved the outdoors, worked diligently, and cherished his family. His life left a quiet but lasting imprint on those closest to him.
