Remembering Corey
A life held close in memory
Corey Shannon Hudson was born September 6, 1970, and brought warmth and character to those who knew him. Family remembered Corey for his quiet joys: a devotion to the Nebraska Huskers, an affection for animals, and a love of music that colored ordinary days. He was a son to Janet Hudson and a brother to siblings who survive him. Those who gathered to honor Corey recalled a man whose everyday passions left a small but meaningful imprint on family life.
Corey’s services were arranged through Bethany Funeral Home in Omaha where friends and family came together to celebrate his life. The visitation and prayer service provided a time for shared memories, and the funeral offered a chance for loved ones to support one another as they grieved. The family requested that memorial gifts be directed in keeping with their wishes.
While Corey's passing on March 10, 2015, was sudden and left many questions for his loved ones, the focus in remembering him remains on the personal threads that made up his life: his family ties, the music and teams that brought him simple joy, and the connections he held in his community. Those who cherished Corey continue to hold those memories close, honoring the man he was beyond the circumstances of his death.
