Remembering Clinton
A life held close in memory
Clinton Old Bull Sr., known by the Crow name Shika'akatdeeshitchikeete and the affectionate nickname "Good Hearted Boy," was born December 17, 1989. He was raised in Lodge Grass and attended schools in Lodge Grass, Hardin, Billings and Riverside Indian School in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Clinton belonged to the Big Lodge Clan and was recognized as a child of Ties the Bundle, connections that reflected his place within family and community traditions.
Clinton was the son of Donald "Oscar" Old Bull and Colleen Kelly-Bunnell. While attending Riverside Indian School he met Deidre Kylie Skidmore; the couple married on October 31, 2008, and became parents to a son, Clinton "CJ" M.L. Old Bull, Jr. Those who knew him called him "Nephew," a name he used for friends because he treated many people as family.
He worked in and around the communities he loved, returning to Lodge Grass after school and later living in Billings. Records note he worked for Wynsong and remained connected to extended family across many Crow families and clan lines. Obituaries and family notices list an extensive network of relatives and clans who survive him, underscoring the ties that mattered most in his life.
On October 16, 2015, Clinton died in Billings; his passing was reported by local authorities and noted in area news. The public record about his death is factual and limited; the details of the loss should not eclipse the human life he lived. Clinton is remembered by family and community as a husband and father whose relationships and clan ties were central to his identity.
Though public sources concentrate on basic facts, they point to a life embedded in family, community, and Crow cultural ties. This remembrance honors Clinton Old Bull Sr. as a real person—a son, husband, and father—whose presence mattered to those who called him family.
