Clifton A. Turner, a beloved husband and father, passed away on January 4, 2011, at the age of 42. Born September 21, 1968, Clifton was a man whose life was defined by his family ties and the close relationships he kept with relatives and friends.
He is remembered by his wife, Angelicque Turner, and their children: sons Antonio Wright, Clifton A. Turner, Jr., Jabrael Ferguson, and Eugene Ferguson, and daughters Cierra Johnson and Shanae Ferguson. Clifton also cherished his mother, Carolyne Y. Turner-Power, and counted among his family a stepfather, David Power; sisters Tonia Y. Turner and Jewel Lean; and brother Matthew Power. Grandfather Rev. Henry E. Johnson, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many cousins were part of the extended circle that meant so much to him.
Friends and family gathered to honor Clifton’s life at Mount Rona Missionary Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., where visitors were welcomed to share memories and offer comfort to his loved ones. He was laid to rest at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Suitland, Maryland. The funeral arrangements were handled by Hunt Funeral Home and Michael R. Gray Funeral Home assisted with memorial notices.
