Christopher Montrel Purcell, 44, of Raeford, North Carolina, passed away on August 4, 2024. A cherished son, father and brother, Christopher was known to his family for his steady presence and the love he gave to those closest to him.
He is survived by his children, La'Dezia and Kadence Purcell, his parents Anthony Bernard Purcell and Karen Graham Purcell, brothers Keith and Justin Purcell, two grandchildren, and an extended circle of relatives and friends who treasured him. Family and friends gathered to celebrate his life on August 16, 2024, at the Cape Fear Conference B Headquarters, followed by a committal service at the Graham Family Cemetery.
Christopher’s family remembers him for the important role he played in their lives. Those who knew him recall his dedication to family and the comfort he provided to loved ones. In this time of grief, his children, parents, siblings and grandchildren remain at the heart of the memories that keep his spirit present.
A visitation was held on August 15, 2024 at Pauline T Buie Chapel, offering neighbors and friends an opportunity to share condolences and remember Christopher’s life. The family expresses appreciation for the support from the Raeford community during this difficult time.
Christopher’s passing left a quiet but deep loss among those who loved him. He is remembered with affection by those he leaves behind, and his family’s care for one another stands as a testament to his place in their lives.
