Remembering Christine

A life held close in memory

Christine Rennae “Chrissy” Kesterson was born January 24, 1997, in McKinney, Texas. Those who knew her remember a young woman who cared deeply for family and community, active in church life from childhood and eager to help others find comfort and belonging.

Chrissy grew up surrounded by an extended family that shaped her life. She attended Centennial High School in Frisco before graduating from Serenity High School in McKinney in 2015. After high school she pursued cosmetology studies at Paul Mitchell the School, where she explored a creative trade and found ways to connect with people through her work.

Faith and service were important to Christine. She accepted Christ in 2007 and participated in church activities and camps, often volunteering with children on Sundays. Friends recall her as compassionate and intentional in creating spaces where people felt safe and cared for. Despite facing personal challenges in life, those closest to her said her kindness and concern for others remained constant.

Christine is survived by her mother, Michelyne Wright, stepfather David Wright, her sister Nichole (Harley Howe) and nephews Ray, James, Michael and Aaron, and a wide circle of relatives and friends who cherished her. A memorial service was held on January 18, 2025, at Providence Church in Frisco, Texas, where family and community honored her life and the love she gave.

Chrissy will be lovingly remembered for her gentle spirit, her devotion to family and faith, and the small, caring gestures that let others know they mattered. Her memory lives on in the hearts of those she touched.

Christine was gone far too soon. May the love, memories, and moments connected to this life continue to be treasured, and may those mourning find comfort in remembering what mattered most.
