Remembering Chelsea

A life held close in memory

Chelsea Lynn Sizemore (November 29, 1992 – February 5, 2014) was a cherished daughter, sister, and devoted mother whose family remembered her warmth and everyday kindness. Chelsea’s life centered on the people she loved most; she took particular joy in being a mother to her daughter, Mackenzie Sophia, a role her family says reflected her gentleness and commitment.

Born in late 1992, Chelsea grew up surrounded by family and close ties in the Tampa area. She is survived by her daughter Mackenzie; her father, Dave “Flash” Morgan; her stepmother, Suzette Sizemore; her mother, Edith Nix; her sister Stephanie Sizemore; and step-siblings Vivienne, Menelik and Emmanuel. Those who knew her recall the ordinary, meaningful ways she gave to others: family gatherings, small acts of care, and the steady presence she offered loved ones.

The family received friends and honored Chelsea’s memory at Garden of Memories Funeral Home in Tampa. In the weeks and years since her passing, her loved ones have kept her memory close — speaking of her with affection and holding fast to the bond she shared with her daughter and family.

Chelsea’s life, though far too brief, left an enduring imprint on those who loved her. Her family asks that memories of her be celebrated in the spirit of the care she showed in life: quietly, lovingly, and with attention to the small things that made her who she was. In remembrance, her daughter and family carry forward the warmth Chelsea brought into their lives.
