Celie Rain Montgomery, passed away unexpectedly on February 16, 2024. She was born in Pueblo, CO and was a long-time resident until her death. Survived by her two beloved children, Faye and Mason; her loving parents, Race and Melody Montgomery; Siblings, Ryan Montgomery (Kevin Decant), Ben Montgomery, and Morgan Kalb; Grandfathers, Larry Higinbotham and John Kogovsek; Uncle, Larry Higinbotham Jr. (Yvette); Cousins, Michael Montgomery (Mia), Roy Higinbotham, Darian Horvat, and numerous other family and friends. Preceded in death by her grandmothers, Virginia Higinbotham and Charlotte Stewart; Uncles, Mike and Ben Montgomery and cousin, Samantha Montgomery.

She came into this world mad at being disturbed, staying very close to her mom. Until finally a child’s curiosity stretched the unbreakable bond. As an adult Celie was quiet and reserved until her passion was ignited. She was steadfast in her sense of fairness and justice in all things. A great mom to her children, Faye 7, Mason 5. Celie loved all things natural from food to animals and the outdoors. Taking her kids to the park, hiking in the mountains, to the lake. Anywhere and everywhere to show them all she could. Celie was a cherished daughter and a wonderful mother who loved singing, Yoga, reading and researching the endless subjects that interested her. She led a busy life all while being a very involved mom. Never losing sight of the goals she wished to accomplish as a parent.

She was intent on her own way of doing things. Always following her own path through the happiness and struggles of life.

Celie leaves her memory to her children, mother and father, sisters, brother, grandfathers, uncle, cousins and many others who will continue to love on her children sharing all of Celie’s stories so that she will never be forgotten…
