Obituary

A formal remembrance

Carltez L. Clark (November 1, 1990 – January 3, 2019) is remembered as a faithful son, a dedicated worker, and a loving father. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Carltez grew up rooted in family and faith. He attended Hueytown High School and carried a strong work ethic into adulthood, holding a position with Honda Manufacturing of Alabama where colleagues recall his steady, dependable presence.

Carltez treasured his role as a father to his two daughters, Kamiah and A’naira. Family meant everything to him; he is survived by his mother, Sheila L. Clark, his brothers Martez Clark and Jamichael Hill, and a wide circle of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who remember his warmth and the everyday moments they shared. He is also remembered by special friends who were close to his heart.

Active in his church from a young age, Carltez drew strength from his faith and from the community around him. Those who knew him speak of his quiet determination and the care he showed for his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Browdus, several grandparents, and close relatives whose memories he carried with him.

Funeral services were held in January 2019, bringing together family and friends to celebrate Carltez’s life and to honor the love he showed his daughters and the devotion he brought to his work and community. Though his time was cut short, the steadiness, care, and familial bonds that defined Carltez’s life continue to be a source of comfort to those who loved him. He is remembered with affection by his family and community.
