Carl Christian Bolle (June 27, 1958 – October 7, 2017) served his country and his community with quiet dedication. Born in Hamburg, Germany, Carl made his life in the United States and answered his country’s call when he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Over a twenty-year military career he rose to the rank of Sergeant First Class and received multiple awards, including the Meritorious Service Medal and Army Commendation and Achievement medals. His service earned him the respect of comrades and the honor of a military burial.
After retiring from the Army, Carl continued contributing to the local community through his work as a contractor in computer intelligence at Fort Hood, where he applied his skills for more than a decade and a half. Those who knew him remember a steady professional who carried his military discipline into civilian life and who took pride in serving others.
Carl is survived by members of his family, including Vera Bolle, Linda Bolle, Amelia Bolle-Thomason, Chloe Bolle, and Gillian Bolle, as well as a grandson. His life was celebrated with full military honors at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, a place chosen to reflect his long service to his country.
