Remembering Brian
A life held close in memory
Brian Paul Hageness, 61, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away June 19, 2019. A quiet and steady presence to those who knew him, Brian was a family man who treasured time with his children, grandchildren and siblings. He is remembered by his daughters Kristen and Megan, son Ethan, his siblings Dan, Don and Paulette, and the grandchildren who called him by name and filled his life with warmth.
Born in the mid-1950s, Brian’s life was shaped by family ties and the everyday kindnesses that endeared him to relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Olai and Sarah Hageness, and his sister Linda. Surviving family members carried forward the stories and small, meaningful traditions that marked his life: family gatherings, shared meals, and quiet moments of companionship.
Services were held privately with arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home. In honoring Brian’s memory, his family asked that remembrances focus on the relationships and simple joys that mattered most to him. Though his passing was sudden, the love he gave his family endures in the children and grandchildren who remember him as a steady presence in their lives.
Those who wish to share condolences or a remembrance were directed to Brian’s online guestbook. In this time of loss, his family’s privacy was respected as they gathered together to honor his life and the intimate bonds he created with those closest to him.
