Bethany LouAnn Thompson

Bethany LouAnn Thompson was born December 17, 2004, in Marysville, Ohio. A sixth grader at Triad Local Schools, Bethany brought joy to family and friends with simple pleasures: swimming, coloring, shopping (she had a fondness for Goodwill), music, superheroes and Pokémon. She looked forward each year to vacation Bible school and church camp, and she especially loved animals and horseback riding.

Bethany was cherished by her family. She is survived by her mother, Wendy Feucht, and step-father Jared Feucht; her father, Paul Thompson; her siblings Elius Feucht and Lanee Thompson; grandparents Eulis and Cheslie Blanton and Nancy and Mike LaBarre; great-grandmother Gladys Blanton; aunts, uncles and cousins who treasured her; and many friends who remember her bright smile and playful spirit. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Dwight Thompson and great-grandfather Jack Blanton.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate Bethany’s life on October 23–24, 2016, with services at Freshwater, McDonald & Vernon Funeral Home and North Lewisburg United Methodist Church, followed by burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. The family invited memorial contributions to the funeral home to help with expenses and encouraged expressions of condolence through the funeral home’s site.

Bethany’s love of small adventures, animals and the everyday delights of childhood left an impression on those who knew her. Her memory lives on in the family stories, the friends who loved her playfulness, and the quiet moments — a favorite song, a day at the pool, a treasured stuffed animal — that recall a young life that mattered deeply to those around her.
