Remembering Becky

A life held close in memory

Rebecca L. “Becky” Mann, 43, was beloved for the quiet strength and care she brought to family life and to the Gilman area community. A longtime resident of the farmstead near Gilman in the Town of Pershing, Becky was known to friends and neighbors as a nurturing presence who put family first and contributed to local life through many roles.

Becky raised a blended family alongside her husband, Joshua “Josh” Mann, including two daughters the couple were parenting together and two adult children from a previous marriage. Family and home were central to her life; she spent many years caring for her children and supporting the household on the family farm. Friends remember Becky for the practical kindnesses and steady companionship she offered to those around her.

In addition to her role at home, Becky worked in the community in several positions over the years. She served as a bank teller with Nicolet Bank, managed Vault Village in Gilman when it opened, and worked at Village Feed and the Western Taylor County Library. Those who worked with her recall her reliable work ethic and friendly, helpful manner.

Becky and Josh were active members of their local circle of family and neighbors, and their loss was felt across Gilman and Taylor County. A memorial service was arranged to allow family, friends and neighbors to gather and honor their lives together.

Becky will be remembered for the love she gave her children, her dedication to home and community, and the everyday care she offered to those around her. Her kindness, commitment to family, and contributions to local life are the legacies that remain in the lives of those who knew her.
