Aveon Baker

Aveon Markel Baker was a young man whose kindness and steady work ethic were central to his life. Born December 31, 2002, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Aveon completed high school and worked to support himself and his family while pursuing a positive, forward-looking life.

Friends and co-workers remembered Aveon for his determination and quiet responsibility. He was employed at a nearby Wendy’s where he worked alongside others in the community; those who knew him described a young person trying to build a future and be there for his siblings and loved ones.

Aveon’s family endured earlier loss when his mother, Antoinette, died in 2011; that pain shaped a household that valued one another deeply. In the years that followed, Aveon’s efforts to contribute and care for family members reflected the strength he carried even as a teenager.

His life is remembered by relatives, classmates, and friends who recall his steady presence, his care for family, and the everyday efforts he made toward a better future. While his time was far too short, those who knew him remember Aveon not for how he died but for the human warmth and responsibility he showed in life.

A funeral service was arranged in Charlotte at the W.L. Truesdale Memorial Chapel under the care of House of Rosadale Home of Funerals, LLC. Family and friends gathered to honor his memory and support one another.

Aveon’s loved ones ask that his memory be held with dignity and respect. Those who knew him remember a young man committed to his family and to making the most of his opportunities. He will be missed by those who loved him and whose lives he touched.
