Autumn Grace Smith

Autumn Grace Smith was born on September 28, 2015, in Lawrence, Kansas, the beloved daughter of Chance and Megan (Glotzbach) Smith. From the start Autumn filled her family’s days with laughter and simple delights. Though she was only one year old, family remembered her as a bright little girl who loved to move and sing — small moments that brought a great deal of warmth to those who cared for her.

Autumn’s life touched her family and community in the everyday ways young children do: through smiles, curious energy, and the small routines of play that make a household feel full. Her parents and loved ones honored her memory with a memorial service on what would have been her second birthday, gathering to celebrate the sweetness of her short life and the joy she gave to those closest to her.

Autumn passed away at her home on September 22, 2017. Her family asked that remembrances of her focus on the love she brought into their lives and the happy moments she created in her brief time with them. Though her life was short, Autumn’s name remains in the hearts of those who knew her as a small and cherished presence — a little girl who brightened days and will be remembered with affection by family and friends.
