Remembering Ashton
A life held close in memory
Ashton Elijah Money was a 19-year-old from the Lake Charles area whose life touched family and friends in Southwest Louisiana. Public records and local reporting identify him by name and age; beyond those details, the public record about Ashton is limited. What is clear is that he was a young person known within his community and mourned by those close to him.
Though there is not a full published obituary available that details his life, relatives have acknowledged his place in the family in funeral notices for others, and local news reporting confirms his passing on February 19, 2023. Those facts indicate Ashton was a part of family networks and local communities in the Lake Charles / Iberia area.
This remembrance honors Ashton as a real person whose life had value beyond the public record. He is remembered by relatives and members of his community; his name and the sorrow of his loss appear in local notices and reporting. For those who loved him, Ashton’s life — and the connections he made with family and friends — remain the important legacy. May his memory be a comfort to those who grieve him.
