Armani Ford

Armani D. Ford, born July 11, 1995, was a young man whose life touched family, teammates, and neighbors in Clairton, Pennsylvania. A 2013 graduate of Clairton High School, Armani earned recognition as the Bears’ quarterback during a remarkable run of team success; his time on the field marked him as a hometown athlete many admired. He continued his studies and athletic pursuits at Bluefield College in West Virginia and later attended Youngstown State University, following his passion for the game while pursuing his education.

A member of Morning Star Baptist Church, Armani’s life was shaped by family and community. He was the son of Tina M. Ford and Kenyatto Terric Berry and is remembered by a large circle of relatives — siblings, grandparents, a great-grandmother, and many cousins and friends — who cherished his presence. Those who knew him recall a young man whose identity included being a teammate, a church member, and a caring family member.

After college, Armani worked in Columbus, Ohio, where he was employed by KBRB Cleaning Company, continuing to build his life beyond Clairton while remaining connected to his roots. His funeral arrangements were made by Robert A. Waters Funeral Home in Clairton and services were held at Morning Star Baptist Church, where friends and family gathered to honor his life and the relationships he nurtured.

Though his life was cut far too short on April 26, 2019, the memory of Armani endures in the small moments people remember: the teammate who read the field, the son who mattered to his family, and the young man whose years of promise were felt by his community. His family’s continuing efforts to keep his memory alive reflect the depth of love he inspired. Armani’s life is mourned and remembered by those who loved him, and his legacy within his hometown remains a quiet testament to how a single life can be deeply meaningful to many.
