Anthony Porter

Anthony D. Porter Jr. was a bright, energetic presence whose love for family and life touched everyone around him. Born June 30, 1998, in Atlanta, Georgia, Anthony grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. From an early age he displayed a playful spirit and quick smile that made others laugh and feel at ease. Homeschooled through high school, he developed a talent for writing and speaking, and he pursued his curiosity about the world with enthusiasm.

As a teen Anthony and his family moved to Pennsylvania, where he practiced karate, competed in tournaments, and built friendships through shared interests. He graduated high school in 2016 and went on to study at Northampton Community College. Anthony followed his adventurous spirit to New York at 18, embracing travel, music, dance, and history as important parts of his life. In October 2021 his son, Camryn, was born; Anthony cherished his role as a father and was devoted to giving his son the same love and values he had received.

In June 2022 Anthony returned to Pennsylvania to be near family and to help with the family business, creating new memories with his parents, siblings, and extended relatives. He is remembered by those who knew him as affectionate, charismatic, and optimistic—someone who looked for the light in others and who carried a belief that things could work out even in difficult times.

Anthony is survived by his son Camryn; his parents, Anthony Sr. and Felicia Porter; numerous siblings; grandparents; a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends who valued his bright spirit. A viewing was held in December 2022 and memorial arrangements were made by William H. Kresge Funeral Home.

Anthony’s family and friends remember him for his laughter, his playful nature, and the deep love he had for his son and family. Though his life was cut tragically short, his warmth, optimism, and the memories he made with those who loved him endure.
