Remembering Anju
A life held close in memory
Anju Shrestha, born January 24, 1989, was a devoted wife and mother whose gentle spirit touched those around her. Having come to the United States with her family to build a new life, Anju cherished simple, everyday moments with her children and loved ones. She is remembered by neighbors and community members for her kind, quiet manner and the bright presence her family brought to their neighborhood.
Anju loved being with her children and took joy in watching them play. Those who knew the family recall how the children’s laughter often filled the small yard outside their home. Family and friends remember Anju as someone who cared deeply for her household and who quietly nurtured the bonds that mattered most.
In the weeks following her passing, the community gathered to support the family, honoring Anju’s life with memorials and gestures of care. A viewing was held to allow friends and relatives to pay their respects and share memories; the family requested privacy for other services.
Though her life was far too short, Anju’s memory endures in the love she showed her children and in the kindness others remember. Her family asks that those who wish to honor her do so with compassion for one another and with small acts of care that reflect the tenderness she offered in life.
