Remembering Andrey
A life held close in memory
Andrey "Little Dre" Gadson Jr., age 17, brought light to those around him with a gentle curiosity and strong family devotion. Born May 22, 2007, Andrey was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and a 2025 senior at Allendale-Fairfax High School who had completed vocational training, earning a welder’s certificate. He enjoyed spending time with friends, teasing his sister Ryleigh, playing video games, and helping his grandfather with yard work—small, everyday moments that reflected his affectionate and down-to-earth nature.
Andrey is remembered by his parents, Shakea Aldrich and Andrey Gadson Sr.; sisters De’Andria and Ryleigh; brothers Deonta, Jamari and Mason; loving grandparents; and a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who treasured his company. He was baptized at Beulah Baptist Church and was described by family as friendly and full of the ordinary kindnesses that made him beloved in his neighborhood and school community.
Funeral services were arranged by Allendale Community Funeral Home and held with family and friends gathering to honor his life and the relationships he nurtured. Though his graduation was awarded posthumously, the diploma reflected a young life shaped by family, community, and hands-on skill that pointed toward future potential.
Those who knew Andrey remember a young man whose presence was quiet but steady: someone who enjoyed simple pleasures, who laughed with friends, and who took pride in learning a trade. His family’s memories and the community’s tributes stand as a reminder that every life leaves a lasting imprint on the people who loved him. Andrey’s memory lives on in the stories, gentle routines, and shared moments that remain with his family and friends.
