Andre Gaston

Andre Jerome Gaston Jr., 24, of Hartford, passed away unexpectedly on October 5, 2022. Born in Hartford on October 22, 1997, Andre was the cherished son of Deborah D. (Bland-Hatten) Gaston and Andre J. Gaston Sr., and a devoted brother to Dwayne A. Gaston. Those who knew him recall a young man who could light up a room with laughter, who carried himself with humility, and who enjoyed sharing jokes and good times with friends and family.

Andre’s life was rooted in his Hartford community. He attended local programs and left an impression on teachers and neighbors who remember him as intelligent and engaging. His family and friends describe him as outgoing, funny, and generous with his smile — someone who valued the everyday connections that make a neighborhood feel like home.

A visitation and celebration of life were held on October 27, 2022, at The Lodge Community Chapel in Windsor, with interment at Mountain View Cemetery in Bloomfield. In the weeks that followed his passing, messages of condolence remembered Andre’s kindness and the joy he shared with others. Though his life was far too brief, the warmth he offered to family and friends endures in their memories.
