Remembering Amy

A life held close in memory

Amy Berry of Marion, Ohio, is remembered for the warmth and kindness she brought to family, friends and the children she worked with. A graduate of Rutherford B. Hayes High School and The Ohio State University, Amy found joy in being around young people and served her community through her role at Marion City Schools. She delighted in outdoor pursuits and the arts—tennis, golf and gardening were among her pastimes, and music and art were lifelong interests she shared with others.

Amy’s greatest pride were her children, Isaac and Kaia, whom she lovingly supported as their biggest cheerleader. Those who knew Amy recall her vibrant personality, her patience with children, and the steady encouragement she offered to friends and family. She had a thoughtful way of making ordinary moments feel special—whether cheering at a school event, tending a garden, or enjoying a favorite song.

Friends and family gathered through services arranged by Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel. In keeping with the family’s wishes, funeral services and burial were private; loved ones were encouraged to honor Amy’s memory through shared remembrances and planting trees in her name as a lasting tribute to the life she nurtured.

Amy’s life touched many in the Marion community—through her work, her friendships, and the everyday gestures that showed how much she cared. Though her passing on December 26, 2020, was a profound loss, the warmth she shared and the devotion she gave to her children and community remain lasting parts of her legacy.
