Remembering Ameisha

A life held close in memory

Ameisha Michelle Heard was born August 3, 1994, in Des Moines, Iowa. The daughter of Amos Estes Heard Jr. and Donna Jo Michelle Aunspach, Ameisha was known to family and friends for her lively smile and the warmth she brought to everyday moments.

Ameisha’s life touched many in her community. She spent her days among family, friends, and neighbors who remember her as outgoing and full of spirit. Those who knew her recall a young woman whose laughter and hugs left an impression — someone who brightened gatherings and offered affection easily.

Her family arranged visitation and a funeral service in mid-May 2014, giving relatives and friends time to share memories, offer comfort, and honor her life. She was laid to rest at Glendale Cemetery, where loved ones gathered to celebrate the person she was and the love she brought to those around her.

Although taken far too soon, Ameisha’s memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved her. In the midst of sorrow, her family and community have sought to remember the good she shared: the smiles, the moments of kindness, and the relationships that mattered most. Those who mourn her loss have left messages of love and remembrance, honoring how much she meant to them.

Ameisha’s life, though brief, mattered deeply to family and friends who continue to cherish her memory. May those who loved her find comfort in remembering her bright spirit and the warmth she shared with others.
