Remembering Allison
A life held close in memory
Allison Renee Rogers was a bright and caring presence in La Crosse. Born March 6, 1996, to Harold and Heather (Ness) Rogers, Allison carried her kindness and energy into every part of her life. A 2014 graduate of Logan High School, she took part in many extracurriculars — from baton twirling with the marching band and dancing on the varsity team to competing in shot put and discus for the track squad. She also performed with the Warriors Baton and Drum Corps for many years, sharing her love of performance with her community.
Allison balanced her steady work ethic with a desire to help others. She worked for more than seven years at Culver’s, where coworkers knew her as a reliable restaurant leader. She pursued further education in the health field at Western Technical College, studying radiography with the goal of serving patients with competence and compassion.
Her commitment to others was evident beyond work and school. In June 2020 Allison was recognized by the La Crosse Fire Department for her role in providing CPR that helped save a young child from drowning — a testament to her quick thinking and willingness to act when others needed help.
Family and friends remember Allison for the small things that revealed who she was: her dedication to activities she loved, the steady presence she offered to those around her, and the moments of care she offered without hesitation. Funeral services were held February 12, 2022 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in La Crosse, followed by a celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund was established for those who wish to honor her memory.
Allison’s life was full of the everyday generosity and energy that knit families and communities together. Though she passed far too young, the compassion she showed — in music and movement, in work, and in a life spent helping others — remains a lasting part of how she will be remembered.
